You may also be able to claim tax relief on medical expenses, which includes costs related to hearing tests and hearing aids. Further information on tax relief for medical expenses is available at www.revenue.ie.

In addition, the Department of Social Protection offers financial support through the Treatment Benefit Scheme. This provides a grant of up to €1,000 towards hearing aids, and includes support for dependent spouses, subject to eligibility conditions.
