Why Consult Dr Deepak Kumar?
Dr Deepak Kumar, AuD (Doctor of Audiology) has over 20 years of clinical experience in audiology, with a particular interest in tinnitus, hearing disorders and audio-vestibular conditions.
Tinnitus management is not simply about the sound you hear. Your consultation considers your tinnitus alongside your hearing, sound sensitivity, sleep, concentration, communication difficulties and relevant
medical history.
Dr Kumar also has more than six years of clinical experience providing Lenire Tinnitus Treatment. If you are considering Lenire, the consultation provides an opportunity to discuss its potential role, limitations and realistic expectations before deciding whether further assessment is appropriate.
Lenire is not recommended simply because you have booked a tinnitus consultation. It is one of several management options that may be considered depending on your individual circumstances.
Specialist tinnitus advice, wherever you are
Tinnitus can be confusing and frustrating, particularly when you have already had hearing tests, seen an ENT specialist or undergone an MRI, but are still unsure why the tinnitus persists or what you should do next.
An Online Tinnitus Consultation with Dr Deepak Kumar, Doctor of Audiology, gives you dedicated time to discuss your tinnitus, review relevant previous investigations and receive professional guidance based on your individual circumstances.
The service is available to people throughout Ireland and internationally. It can be particularly useful if you cannot easily attend one of our clinics, live some distance away, or would simply like specialist advice before deciding on your next step.
The aim is not to promise a cure or recommend treatment unnecessarily. It is to help you better understand your tinnitus and develop a clear, realistic and individual plan for what to do next.

What Happens During Your Online Tinnitus Consultation?

Considering Lenire Tinnitus Treatment?
Dr Kumar has been providing Lenire Tinnitus Treatment for more than six years.
If you are considering Lenire, particularly if you live some distance from the clinic or outside Ireland, an online consultation can be a useful first step.
It provides an opportunity to discuss how Lenire works, your tinnitus history, previous investigations, realistic expectations and whether proceeding to further assessment may be appropriate.
An online consultation does not automatically establish suitability for Lenire. If further testing or an in- person assessment is required, this will be explained clearly.

What Cannot Be Done Online?
An online consultation does not replace an in-person clinical assessment when one is required.
We cannot remotely examine your ears, measure your hearing, assess middle-ear or cochlear function, or exclude every possible medical cause of tinnitus.
If further assessment is needed, you will be advised what is required and whether it can be arranged locally or needs specialist in-person assessment.
Before You Book
An online tinnitus consultation is not an emergency medical service.
Please seek prompt medical assessment if your tinnitus develops with:
- Sudden or rapidly developing hearing loss.
- A sudden significant change in hearing.
- Severe acute dizziness or vertigo.
- New neurological symptoms such as facial weakness, significant numbness or difficulty speaking.
Please also let us know if your tinnitus pulses in time with your heartbeat, is persistently present in one ear
only, or is associated with asymmetric hearing loss, as further investigation may be appropriate.
